Class Accomplishments
Today I worked on my Senior Survey, made especially for college recommendation letters. However, due to my indecisivness and other circumstances, I was not able to completely finish one or two questions. The last 20 minutes, I was focused on trying to align my schedule with Maria's, so we could have Thesis together, and therefore be able to accomplish much more. Luckily, by lunchtime, we finally had both of our schedules in place. (I had to change my schedule 4 times!) We also constructed our blog layouts so that we could link our blogs together. You should stop by her blog! It is the first link in the pannel to the right.

A New Level
As I am preparing for college applications and senior thesis, I cannot help but notice the world has bumped me up to a new level of immaturity. Thus, I must rise to the occasion and develop a proper independent attitude to conquer this new experience. You have to start somewhere, I guess.
So, here it is. My first step of a thousand more to follow.
I have decided to direct a play for my senior thesis. However, I do not want to go about this in an unprofessional manner, as you would do so for something produced in a high school. My hope is to partner with a professional theater, and be able to have the production be showcased there with help from their trained and experienced crew. I think not only would this give me a better opportunity, but it would also be a better representation of how you actually produce a play. Now, a production this size will be a hard task to pull off, but luckily one of my peers, Maria, wants to do the same thesis. We partnered together and are now co-directors. We agreed I would do more of the direction and casting type jobs as she would do the sets, props, costumes, etc. We will, of course, collaborate and help each other, but it was a mutual decision that we each have the final say in our field.
As for planning, we have already began to meet and discuss our hopes and ideas for this project. We have even picked our play, Alice In Wonderland. We chose this because we felt there was much room for artistic interpretation on both of our parts. (Not to mention it is a fun show!) Now we are looking at our script options and preparing for our proposal to the theaters.
I believe that this will be a long and difficult project, however I also believe that when everything is said and done, it will all be worth it.
